We spend 90% of our lives indoors, where the air quality could be up to five times more polluted than the outdoor air. Breathing poor indoor air may have a negative impact on your health through exposure to bacteria, viruses, mold, fungi and chemicals. Many common everyday practices and conditions lead to the deterioration of indoor air quality. The good news is that you can do something to improve the quality of the air you breathe.
Dust mites, Pets, Mold and Mildew, along with commonly used chemicals found in paints and other products do generate microscopic airborne particles, which are inhaled by the inhabitants of the home or office.
Eliminating some of the main causes of indoor air pollution, such as cigarette smoke, excess moisture, and chemicals may go a long way toward a noticeable improvement. Also, adding proper ventilation, keeping the humidity levels constant, cleaning carpets and upholstered surfaces, and including the right air purification system will significantly improve the quality of the air you breathe while spending time indoors.
