Pulaski, NY – November 13, 2020 – The Chicago Public Schools (CPS) has announced that they will install nearly 30,000 HealthWay portable air purification units provided through Delos, in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. CPS is one of the largest school districts in the United States, with over 355,000 students and 38,000 employees.

HealthWay air purification systems are a crucial step in getting students, teachers, and staff back to school safely. These units will be installed in classrooms and high traffic areas throughout every school to build a comprehensive “classroom-based air purification” program. CPS conducted classroom ventilation assessments and air quality evaluations by state-certified environmental specialists to ensure that every student who returns to a CPS school is able to learn in a classroom that is safe and properly ventilated. The district carried out a multi-stage assessment of district school buildings which led to the decision to install industry-leading HealthWay air purification systems.

CPS will utilize HealthWay patented DFS technology that is proven to capture particles up to 0.007 μm, which is smaller in size than all known ultrafine virus particles, including COVID-19 size particles.
